VMI Forms ‘The Caroline Group’ As Media Arm

(New York, New York | Camden, New Jersey) Victor Musical Industries announced the formation of The Caroline Group, a wholly owned a limited liability corporation which has been established with the mission of expanding VMI’s communications/media holdings and operations. The new company will operate several media outlets and aggregators in strategic partnership with the advertising and marketing dissemination needs of VMI related products, projects, and services. ‘The Caroline Group’ is named in honor of Eldridge Reeves Johnson’s storied ‘Caroline I’ and ‘Caroline II’ ships which could be frequently found docked at the Victor Pier in Camden, New Jersey. Mr. Johnson utilized his fleet for everything from cooperative missions with the U.S. Government, to carousing with Ernest Hemingway in the Bahamas, to chauffeuring royalty across the Atlantic in the early-mid 20th century.

The Caroline Group will be headed by a multinational team of editors and administrators with operations from New York City, Belfast, and Camden New Jersey.
