While VICTOR focuses its interest on music and home audio electronics/instruments, HMV® is for the innovations of Victor/Camden that have taken on a life of their own in the home entertainment and communications industries. From the development of television, to the birth of the professional computer - HMV®'s roots are the same as Victor Talking Machine Co's, but with a focus on visual home entertainment mediums and hardware.
Introduced by Victor Talking Machine Co. in 1906, the Victrola® brand is one of the most popular home audio brands of all time, and today; it is leading the charge in the vinyl revival. Beware! because of its popularity, there are many imitators...but just remember this; if it isn't a Victor, it isn't an authentic Victrola®
The 'VTMC® 'medallion' logo was designed by the Victor Camden Plant architects in the 1900s. You'll find this medallion in and on many places and products of The Victor Company including electronics, and music. The brand acts as a unique identifier for our firm, and generally utilized on products of late 19th or early 20th century origin.

The 'studio®' brand of HMV® tablets denotes a series of professional PC tablets that are designed and built specifically for those in the creative sector of the world market. Designed by The Victor Co. in Camden, NJ: The HMV® Studio series of tablets are designed to be rock solid creative machines that you can take on the road and count on in all creative situations. HMV's STUDIO® series tablets are equally at home recording an album, as they are writing a book - or designing graphics on the go.
The 'SELECTAVISION®' series of HMV® SmartTVs are the very first Camden, NJ born television's since 1980. The 'Selectavision®' brand has long indicated the freedom of choice. In the new era the HMV® Selectavision® series SmartTV gives the viewer, for the very first time, full control over the programming of their television.
The 'VICTROLA®" (modernist logo) is the version of our famous "VICTROLA®" brand applied to certain products which require (or call for) this aesthetic in design or manufacturing. Originally introduced in the 1940s, the 'modernist' version of the Victrola® logo set the pace for would would become 'the look' of Victrola® brand for much of the mid century. Today, we honor this evolution - and utilize this version of the brand on products and in places where it is most appropriate.
The 'Electrola®' brand was first introduced in 1914 to denote the electrically driven 'Victrola' turntables the company prepared for release to the public. Years later, the brand was applied to the first fully electric phonograph/gramophone playback systems (home entertainment systems); and today, the brand is utilized to denote all NON-Phonographic Victor products ie; bluetooth speakers, headphones, and earphones of Victor Talking Machine Co design and build.
'The Gramophone Co.' was founded by Emile Berliner in 1895 in Philadelphia, and soon became entangled in a number of legal disputes that enjoined the company from utilizing the term 'Gramophone'. Berliner and Johnson would go on to lose the name 'Gramophone' in the US market - but win the battle to declare the disk record and record player itself...its own protected invention. In honor of this, the company was renamed Victor Talking Machine Co. (or, winner). Meanwhile, in the UK; Victor was never prevented from utilizing 'The Gramophone Co.' in name, and for much of the world...the brand stuck! Today, those markets are still enjoying Victor products with the classic 'The Gramophone Co.' brand...just as they did through the 20th century.
'Berliner Grammophon GMBH' is a special edition brand utilized on Victor Home Audio products, honoring Victor co-founder - Emile Berliner.
The 'Vertiphone®' brand is a combination of 'Vertical' and 'Gramophone' - which is indicative of the line of vertically playing Victrola® series record players designed, built and marketed by The Victor Co. of Camden, NJ.
