The Victor Talking Machine Co. in Camden, NJ helped birth much of the music industry through the 20th century. Even as Victor and the music industry itself became gradually minimized by its parent company through the mid-century, two brothers (and eventually a third) would leave their jobs at the record pressing plant of Victor in Camden to found 'Presswell Records' by the 1950s in Camden County, NJ. 'Presswell' would go on to become one of the largest manufacturers of records in the music industry - and an exclusive presser to Ahmet Ertegun's 'Atlantic Records' in not-too-far New York City. The company would become a victim to rapid globalization in the late 1980s and shut its doors officially by the early 1990s leaving a legacy and a pedigree of experience to rust in both a literal and metaphysical sense. Larry Joseph, longtime Presswell employee, and operator - (as well as the son and nephew of the founding Joseph brothers) would, by happenstance, begin to associate with Graham Alexander & Co. in the early 2000s - leading to a collaboration on a new method of record pressing patented by The Victor Talking Machine Co. in 2017. The Victor Company acquired the brand - and named the new breakthrough in record pressing the 'Victor Presswell®' Method - formally incorporating the Presswell legacy into the Victorville® heritage of music industry (an even more suitable fit, as that is the legacy it had originally evolved from!)
